    The primary goal of the California Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program is to provide an affordable auto insurance option to low-income good drivers. California Law requires that all drivers be insured. The California Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program provides affordable liability-only auto insurance that meets the state's financial responsibility laws.

    Are You Eligible?
    To be eligible for the CLCA program you must meet the following:

    • Be able to meet low-income requirements
    1 person = $27,075
    2 people = $36,425
    3 people = $45,775
    4 people = $55,125
    5 people = $64,475
    6 people = $73,825
    7 people = $83,175
    8 people = $92,525

    • Meet the good driver standard (no more than one at-fault property damage-only accident or no more than one point for moving violation in the past three years)

    • Be at least 19 years old

    • Have been continuously licensed to drive for the past three years

    • Have a vehicle valued at less than $20,000
