What They Are
During these difficult economic times, it is more important than ever for individuals and families to have information about resources that can help them become more financially secure. Hosting organizations will now be able to offer additional information to the families and communities they serve through the WE Connect website, WEb Connector and WE Connect collateral material. Through the Neighborhood Centers, WE Connect is helping organizations across the state provide a more holistic approach to helping and empowering families. These innovative partnerships allow WE Connect to provide year-round support to families who need it most and an opportunity for the program to serve as a more permanent part of California's communities.
What They Do
The Neighborhood Centers will give families access to computers and volunteers who will help them navigate through the WE Connect website and WEb Connector where they will learn about programs they may be eligible for. With the help of community volunteers and staff, families will have the ability to connect to a myriad of services and opportunities available through the WE Connect campaign such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Child Tax Credit, Women, Infant, and Child (WIC) program and many others.
